Trauma-Informed Childcare Jobs

Hello-

I currently work at a place where the focus is on childcare but from a trauma informed lens; we work with children who experienced a form of abuse, neglect, maltreatment, etc.

I plan on moving to Japan in the future but are there jobs in Japan that focus on similar approaches to childcare?

  2. Yes, those places do exist in Japan. However, those types of jobs would require close to a native level Japanese. In Japan, what are you planning to do? If you would like to work in a nursery or kindergarten, foreign English teachers usually just teach English and interact with the students on a superficial level. Also, keep this in mind. Being trauma-informed in Japan is a touchy subject especially when it comes to children. If I were you, look into behavioral health services and mental health in Japan.
