I’m allergic to paperwork (haha joke’s on me living in Japan and all) but really want to apply for PR ASAP. I’d love to hire a lawyer. Any recommendations in the Kyoto area? Also, is it possible to start the process while traveling abroad (I’m traveling to other countries for the holidays)?

I did mine with a lawyer in Tokyo, but it required him sending documents to my house. And I had to send him things like scan or mynumber card, passport, resident card etc. So I would imagine it’d be hard to do while not in the country. Though I was able to do everything without having to meet in person until signing the contract with him at the end and having everything collected up.
