N4: させられる (as well as passive and causative generally). I’m studying for N2 and they still trip me up almost every time.
・くれる、もらう、あげる

Nまでして~ Vてまでして~
I kind of get that this is used when something uncommon occurs but I don’t really understand how to use it. It’s really hard to translate.
keigo 😭
I honestly had a really hard time getting my head around the usages of まま. The explanations are really oversimplified and never really put it in terms an English speaker would understand.
Another is the distinction between Vきる, Vあげる/あがる, and V終える/終わる. They all mean to do something to completion, but the distinctions are super subtle and don’t make much sense to me.
I never know how to use N4 ~んです
によって is just mysterious つつある fucks me up きり〜ない is a weird one too
