Hi guys, so I used to have a physical Suica card, which I transferred to my current iPhone 14. I managed to get everything working while I was in Japan back in Feb.
Fast forward to June, I did a reset on my current iPhone 14, and did not restore from a backup copy but set up a new IPhone instead.
Now I’m trying to add the Suica back to my current iPhone 14 and it prompts me that I need to contact card issuer. If I try to add a new Suica, it also tells me to contact card issuer.
If I go back using an older iPhone 12 using the same Apple account, I am able to add the card with no issues. I don’t really want to bring 2 phones to Japan, hence seeking if anyone has any advice to make it work on my iPhone 14 instead please!

Just add a PASMO instead then. Wallet, +, transit card, PASMO (or ICOCA if you want variety)
Is the Suica card not listed for you under Wallet, +, Previous Cards?
You would have to remove it from your iPhone 12 before it becomes available on the iPhone 14. [You can only have the same Suica card on a single device.](https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207155)
Hello ! Pasmo user here, and I did start mobile Pasmo before switching to my current phone. Broken screen on previous phone prompted my switch from Android to iPhone.
I remember setting up an account, and just by logging in, my Pasmo was safely transfer to my current phone. The logic should work the same for your case. I can’t test it right now but since you have been using iPhone since before the reset, shouldn’t the card be saved on your iCloud?
Oh, I googled and apparently you need to move Suica to the Mobile Suica cloud server first before downloading it to new devices.
Try searching モバイルSuica 端末変更!Good luck.
