Does kuroneko deliver big assembled furniture INSIDE top floor apartments without an elevator?

I want to buy a somewhat large dresser (83x40cm) on mercari from a seller that’ll use rakuraku (kuroneko Yamato service) to deliver it, but I’m wondering if kuroneko will even deliver to the 4th floor of an apartment building that does NOT have an elevator and carry the dresser inside the apartment itself? I wanna say probably NOT (because this sounds absolutely horrible honestly) but I’d like to hear from anyone that’s managed to actually do this with them. Thanks!

  1. Kuroneko-yamato provides to-the-door delivery.

You will probably have to get some strong friends to help you, or pay for a furniture assembly service.

  2. Yes. My washing machine was delivered by Kuroneko and they came to the fourth floor with no elevator. There were three staff who bought it up, but this was a deliver and install delivery.

  3. I think 4th floor will be fine. I got a mattress delivered at my husband’s insistence and the stairwell is noooooot well suited to getting that up

    They made it work.

However you should get your measuring tape out and see if it’s actually possible to fit

    (Insert friends pivot pivot here)

  4. When you buy things at someplace like BIC, and set a delivery date, they will ask you about stairs, and elevators. Usually add another 5,000 yen if it is stairs.

  5. Typically when buying furniture or appliances, the store you purchase from will arrange delivery and they will ask about things like elevator access and what floor you live on… if the item needs to be brought inside and assembled etc, or just dropped off at the entrance.

    Where are you buying from?

  6. They delivered a big couch that wouldn’t fit through my door nor the stairs. They disassemble it at the entrance of the building, carried parts inside, then reassembled it inside. No help from me even when i offered!
Edit: it was also a used one delivered by rakuraku
