LinkedIn Job Postings Timeline?

Hello, all! I’m currently a graduate student studying in Shiga and I’m currently looking for work (graduating September next year). I’ve already applied to a company which will have me start working in spring 2025 if I’m accepted which I hear is normal for Japanese companies (that is, you have to apply long before you actually start the job), but I was wondering about the job postings I see and get recommended for on LinkedIn? Do these generally start as soon as possible or do they follow the same schedule (i.e., I apply now and I start working next year or in 2025)? Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about this?

Thanks in advance!

  1. i believe that the job postings in Linked-In are usually not for new graduates. It is for mid career change and hence and start any time.

  2. From my experience, linkedin is not particularly targeting fresh grads but mid careers. Job offers are more in the immediate to 3 or 6 months range (considering that the inverview process also takes easily up more than a month).
