Where to order birthday cake from (Zama, Ebina, Atsugi area)?

Before I start going to various places, I was wondering if anyone knew where I could order a birthday cake from? I didn’t know if places like Ginza Cozy Corner or the patisseries at the mall would do anything like that or if I had to hit up some place else. It may be too late at this point since the birthday in question is on 11/13 but my question still stands for the future – I’ve seen posts asking for around the Tokyo area but haven’t seen a more general response.

I’m not looking for anything complex like a printed picture on top; just a simple chocolate or white cake with Happy Birthday or お誕生日おめでとう! written on top.

  1. You can pretty much go to any bakery and they will have at least a couple of full sized cakes available – they’ll usually write a message onto a piece of chocolate that they stick on top, so even last minute it shouldn’t be a problem to get a birthday cake.

I personally recommend this place – their cakes are delicious.

  2. Pretty much any of the basic chain cake shops have cakes ready in the showcase. You can just go in, tell them which came you want, they’ll ask if it’s for somebody’s birthday or something and you say yes it’s for a birthday, then they ask what you want to write on the little chocolate message plate and they’ll write it for you.

You can see cakes from different shops, and they tell you on each page when you can expect the cake to arrive.
