Planning a trip to Shiga Kogen for 3 days of snowboarding and wanted to get advice on a couple questions:
1. For the board rental, I see there’s rental shops. As I’m planning to stay at a non-resort hotel, do people keep the rentals for the duration of the rental, or have to return back to the shop? Is it easy to move around on the local shuttle with the snowboard?
2. I am interested in Kumanoyu and Okushiga Kogen areas for skiing, if I’m staying in the central part of Shiga Kogen, is it realistic to take the shuttle to either of those areas and spend the day there before shuttling back to my accommodations? Or would I really need to be staying at at the area?
