So I’ve looked into the steps I’d need to take to be an English as a foreign language teacher, however everywhere that’s talks about getting a work visa in Japan mentions needing a bachelor’s degree. Now, I have one in music production, but obviously that isn’t really in the same field as teaching English. I’m wondering if my bachelor’s degree in conjunction with competing the proper TEFL/TESL classes do you think I’d qualify for a visa? Or do you think I’d need to start looking at a different degree?

I believe you can have any bachelor’s degree
Technically will depend if you’re a native or not. If you’re not you will get a Humanities visa and technically you need bachelor that is related to what you want to do so. Now they don’t really care but you might get someone that does care
Bachelors degree and a pulse.
