Degree requirements for teaching English in Japan?

So I’ve looked into the steps I’d need to take to be an English as a foreign language teacher, however everywhere that’s talks about getting a work visa in Japan mentions needing a bachelor’s degree. Now, I have one in music production, but obviously that isn’t really in the same field as teaching English. I’m wondering if my bachelor’s degree in conjunction with competing the proper TEFL/TESL classes do you think I’d qualify for a visa? Or do you think I’d need to start looking at a different degree?

  2. Technically will depend if you’re a native or not. If you’re not you will get a Humanities visa and technically you need bachelor that is related to what you want to do so. Now they don’t really care but you might get someone that does care
