my first homemade sushi!!


the roll was crispy teriyaki chicken and cucumber with crispy onions and sesame seeds, made with sushi rice, rice wine vinegar, salt and sugar with nori on the outside (obviously)

I’m so so proud of these!! they tasted great too. I think next time I’m going to make some duck ones!!

just some tips for anyone who wants to make these- watch tutorials!! also, wet the knife every time you cut and wrap the uncut roll in cling film/ plastic wrap, it keeps them together and neat when cutting! also, warm the rice wine vinegar, sugar and salt on the stove or in a microwave until the granules are gone before pouring on the sushi rice.

please let me know what you think and give me some (non-raw fish because l’m not a massive fan of fish) suggestions for fillings.
