Hi all, I’m planning a trip for Dec. 9-20 and am trying to decide between a few regions to visit. One thing that will help me make that decision is whether or not the fall colors will likely still be visible in Kyushu that week, because I have seen some reports claiming that they might be and would like to see that if true. (Also, I previously visited Tokyo and Nikko at the same time of year and both were pretty sad-looking in that weird post-autumn leaves limbo, so I want to go somewhere that is not at its worst this time of year if possible.) So – would Fukuoka, Kagoshima, or Kumamoto likely still have fall foliage by then?
