Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu, Chiba (general PSA for tourists and residents alike)

Posting on my throwaway.
If any of you here are familiar with
Mitsui Outlet Park Kisarazu, the mall is crowded during weekends starting from 10am in the morning up until 1-2 hours after closing time. The high influx of people means more cars and heavy traffic coming from a lot of directions especially Aqua Line towards Haneda and the Expressway towards Narita.

Parking is a bitch around the mall area and you can expect 15-30 minutes of cars lining up until you can enter especially when you arrive after lunch.
There are also multiple entrances to parking area perimeter and get closed when they are “full.” The security guards close the entrance using plastic cones only.

Rant below.
Around ~3:30pm today, a group of 4 foreigners in a blue car tried to enter one of the closed entrances by stopping and blocking half the road. One of them was trying to move the plastic cones to the side to enter. I noticed this and thought they were just clueless tourists and said that the particular parking entrance is closed pointing to the red 閉 LED sign. The lady sheepishly returned the cones but after a few seconds and I looked back and saw that they resumed their shit.
I did not have the time to observe and see what happened but I assume that the security guard at the end of the street was surprised on how the hell they entered (there are multiple plastic cone barricades aside from the side of the main street) and have to deal with this bullshit in the middle of the cold weather.

There was around 20 cars lined up and waiting at the open entrance few paces before the closed one and these assholes passed them and deliberately did this shit.
Since they know what they are doing and have the courage driving in Japan streets, I’m 99% sure that they not clueless tourists, but rather residents/SOFA who think that they are above the law and the common people.
Locals here already hate cars with plate numbers aside from 袖ヶ浦 since they cause heavy traffic, and now there is another group to hate.
Thank you for making my bumfuck neighborhood a better place motherfuckers!

These types of people are the reason why some of the Japanese have prejudices about foreigners.
These people are the reason why you can have N1, hold national certifications, have a respectable career, marry-contribute in fighting the population decline and live here for decades, and still be treated as a 2nd class citizen.

I feel sorry for the foreign residents in Japan going on with their life, keeping their noses clean but still get lumped with the bad apples. Fuck people like this.

I would like to implore people here to be intolerant of these asshole gaijin smasher types.
Call them out and you will be doing the whole foreign community in Japan a big favor.

  1. I can think of quite a few Japanese friends who would do the same thing – young and old alike.

No offense intended and of course you are free to vent all you like. But is it possible you are coming off a bit High Horse-ish?

Saturday’s are too precious to hold so much anger and hate. Dont be that guy. Time to have a strong zero and chill.

  2. Out of curiosity, if a police patrol happened to see what they were doing, will they simply get told off or are they breaking any actual laws?

Sounds like the Mitsui Outlet Park in Iruma and that one has a Costco next door.

  4. I don’t get it. What is the PSA? This is just another rant, which is fine. But don’t pretend you’re doing some great noble service bitching about shitty people, of which there are lots of.

  5. Been there many times, it’s not that bad, sure the Aqua line traffic jam is bad but so do other highways to Tokyo in the weekend.

  6. >These types of people are the reason why some of the Japanese have prejudices about foreigners. Regardless of how annoying these assholes are, you can’t judge a group of people based on the few. To suggest it’s these assholes are *why* some Japanese treat foreigners as second-class citizens, as if it’s “understandable” to feel that way, is ridiculous. It’s never okay and those holding prejudices are much bigger assholes than the foreigners cutting lines. It wouldn’t be understandable to feel that way if you replaced foreigners with any ethnic group instead.

Don’t blame the few assholes for Japanese prejudice. Blame those with prejudices for that. These assholes should only be blamed for their behavior.

  7. The definition of prejudice is taking the bad actions of one or two people and generalizing about the whole demographic based off it. Take this story but replace foreigners in Japan with Chinese people in Canada or Black people in the US. Yikes right? That’d be straight up racist. Those 4 people were being asses and that has no baring of the rest of the foreign community. If any Japanese people form negetive opinions about foreigners as a whole based on the actions of 4 people, that’s on them and their prejudiced patterns of thought.

  8. If a Japanese person has a negative view of foreigners as a group based on the behavior of some individuals, they are acting like a bigot. Let’s not excuse their ugly behavior by blaming foreigners.

  9. If they were sofa, their license plate would clearly denote it (“Y-plate”). So maybe get off your discriminatory high horse.

  10. PSA and tagged NSFW??? It is neither!

Also, Japanese people don’t judge all foreigners by a few idiots. Get over yourself.

  11. There’s plenty of shitty gaijin and there’s an equal amount of shitty Japanese people. It’s spread equally and just as smelly coming from both asses. I hope you remember that.

  12. I read the NSFW tag and was expecting a story about some people rooting in the parking lot.

  13. Here’s a PSA: SOFA plates have a Y on white plates or an A or Kei plates on the left side.

Did they have those? If they were SOFA shame on them but that’s not everyone or nowhere near every SOFA person.

  14. Been here nine years, I’ve seen Japanese people do this too. You’ve become self-racist lol.

  15. One time I saw a foreigner struggling to order at an udon restaurant. It inconvenienced me for 10 seconds. This is why everyone hates foreigners.

  16. Thank you for your service. Respectable gaijin reputation is safe now, thanks to you! 🫡
