I am an LIS student in the Philippines, can I get a librarian job in Japan?

I am currently 3rd yr in college here in the Philippines and I was planning to work in Japan as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) which I think I can apply for (or any jobs I can get that is related with LIS) after I graduate and then study LIS in JP as well, is it possible for me to apply for a MLIS program there? However, I’m still thinking if I should still take the licensure exam for librarians here before I try to apply for work in JP, as being licensed would add up to my credentials..

  1. Become a legit librarian first (licensed and everything) the get two years experience in your home country. Then apply for international schools. They need librarians too.
