Do you prefer Krispy Kreme or Mister Donuts?

I find Krispy Kreme to be more sweet but I usually get this nasty feeling after eating it. Mister Donuts doesn’t have that great of a quality in comparison (I think) but it tastes alright.

Are there any alternatives worth trying?

  1. Mister when I want a quick fix, KK when I want extra sweet decadent glazed donut, Goodtown or Dumbo when I want proper donut. Been wanting to try I’m Donut too but not sure it’s worth the long line.

  2. Mister Donuts, by far. Especially Old Fashioned. Or if I’m feeling naughty, the Honey Old Fashioned.

  3. Mister Donuts. Same quality but better variety and smaller size for much better prices.

Krispy Kreme used to sell freshly-baked doughnuts, but those diabetic sugar bombs were far too sugary and filling, so the novelty eventually wore off.

  4. Hot off the line, Krispy Kreme by a mile. Otherwise, it’s a toss-up depending on the seasonal offerings at each.

  5. If I could get Krispy Kreme straight out of the fryer like in the US, it would be Krispy Kreme, but they ain’t hot here. Mister Donuts is way better after it’s been cooled and topped than Krispy Kreme. In ideal conditions, Krispy Kreme wins, but that doesn’t really happen. Realistically, you’ll have a happier donut at Misudo.

  6. Krispy Kreme by a thousand miles. Mr. Donuts always gives me acid reflux. Can eat half a dozen Krispies with no issue

  7. Krispy Kreme, their seasonal stuff especially and they usually have at least one option with the melt-in-mouth cream. Misdo is fine, but I find them a tad bland and stingy on jam/cream.

Not donuts, but I’ve really enjoyed Beard Papa’s cream puffs recently. This month’s special is a coconut sable and the crunch/cream balance is *chef’s kiss*.

  8. Both. Both is good 👍 otherwise i also recommend “I’m Donut?” in Meguro where their donuts are so mochi delicious 🤤 but it’s popular so there’s always a long line
