Any tips for topping rolls (with avocado, fish, etc) appreciated! The nigiri is tuna and cooked salmon which was cooked in a hoisin/soy sauce to mimick eel sauce. First time making nigiri. Rolls are combos of crab salad, shrimp tempura, tuna, avocado, cucumber, and some pineapple.

Thats a lot of rice. Work on portions and keeping the rice neat and bite size.

Try to ball up rice the size of your top thumb
To learn wrap it with cling wrap and get used to the size , muscle reflex are what you want … after 3 days playing , you will be able to gauge it
Hi! It looks like you might have cut the roll and then topped with avocado after? Or the slices are a little thick. Definitely put toppings like fish/avo on the full roll, press with some saran wrap and the bamboo, and then cut 🙂 I think it’s looking pretty good!!
