Kaito and Oiwa called it, happy to see both of them
Fale and Bonza oh goddammit I was so happy when I misread it and didn’t see them at the bottom of B Block
I think they look like pretty decent line ups- much like the recent G1s they are a bit bloated but there are quite a few good teams, and no Chase and no Tanga Loa, praise the Lord.
It’ll also be interesting to see Oiwa, I’ve only seen his match against ZSJ since he left.
GoA are decent but kinda random, I’d rather have seen WCWC but not a major gripe.
Ren and Shota to win it?
More Kaito is always welcome . I’m really curious to see who Tsuji’s partner will be
TL returning to dual blocks format is enough to say “das good”
West Coast Wrecking Crew should absolutely be in this.
We all know Team Filthy could do so well in Japan, I just wish someone would let them prove us right.
I was actually thinking about giving this tour a miss but fuck it, they’ve got me interested again.
It looks like NJPW accidentally leaked the identity of Z. >!Zandokan Jr!<
a NOAH, AEW & CMLL Team
cool
This is gonna be a lot of people’s first exposure to Jack Bonza and I’m afraid people will make up their minds purely by association with Fale. Bonza has nothing to do with the Fale Dojo, he, along with Robbie Eagles, Madison Eagles and Mick Moretti run PWA’s wrestling school.
For the record, Bonza is a veteran of the Aussie scene, and is a very capable technician/powerhouse hybrid. I hope he actually gets to show what he can do instead of just doing basic bitch heel work and eating pins for Fale.
This has a genuine feel of an international tournament with people from Australia Mexico America and the like as well as more than one other promotion sending talent. Looking forward to seeing what they all bring. Shame team filthy aren’t here as they have been entertaining.
Oooooh Kaun and Toa Liona? That’s fire
According to the schedules they’re doing the 1A vs 2B, 1B vs 2A thing again, so if you want to try and guess the semi-finals, the final block nights (not necessarily in this order) are:
A Block
Umino/Narita vs EVIL/Yujiro
Ishii/Yano vs Henare/O-Khan
TMDK vs Kidd/Coughlin
Kiyomiya/Oiwa vs Gates of Agony
B Block
Tsuji/Z vs Soberano/Atlantis
ELP/Hikuleo vs Monster Sauce
Bishamon vs Taichi/Uemura
Suzuki/Nagata vs Fale/Bonza
This is a fun eclectic mix of teams
Positives:
– CMLL and ROH representation
– Alex Zayne appearing again on a mainline NJPW show
– Connecting Tamashii to the mainline shows, and subsequently connecting Rogue Army to mainline BC
– interesting partnership between Tsuji and ‘Z’
– like the SJTL there’s a few teams that are essentially thrown together but there’s solid storyline weight behind them being together
Negatives:
– no Team Filthy
– possibly Kiyomiya if Gedo books him like a clown again. I really don’t know what the endgame is with him
Gates of Agony rule glad they’re in.
No Team Filthy but there’s Jack Bonza and some random ROH team i shoot have never heard of
I was not expecting Kaito and Oiwa. Nice.
Who Is joining Tsuji? Someone from CMLL?
I hope they don’t misuse Kaito again
Here’s the notes I made for myself, if they’re useful to anyone else.
Notable undercard stuff:
– Fale/Bonza team with Ishimori and Gedo.
– Fujita’s back to be with Haste/Nicholls, they only do 6-mans.
– Wato is the Suzuki/Nagata (and general face team) partner, no Despe.
– Liona/Kaun are mainly in 6-mans w/a Young Lion partner, and one 8-man w/a YL and Honma.
– The CMLL team are mainly in 6-mans w/Tiger Mask (exception is one w/a Young Lion), and one 8-man w/TM and Honma.
– Suzuki and Archer are in at least one undercard multiman tag together, along with their WTL partners.
– For Undercard draws: SANADA on the opening night, 25th, and 6th. Hiromu is on the 23rd and 24th. Shingo is on the 24th, 28th, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th. Okada on the 6th.
-The 26th, 29th, and 2nd are the weakest undercards with no added real draw, though the 26th has the Ren/Shota vs KiyOiwa preview and the 2nd has the War Dogs vs Hot preview.
– List of Semi and Main Events:
– 11/20, Korakuen: S– KiyOiwa vs War Dogs, M– Ren/Shota vs United Empire
– 11/21, Korakuen: S- J2G vs YotaZ, M– Bishamon vs GoD
– 11/23, Yokohama Budokan: S– Ren/Shota vs War Dogs, M– TMDK vs HoT
– 11/24, Yamanashi: S– Bishamon vs Monster Sauce, M– GoD vs J2G
– 11/25, Kanagawa: S– KiyOiwa vs HoT, M– UE vs TMDK
– 11/26, Fukushima: S– Suzuki/Nagata vs J2G, M– GoD vs YotaZ
– 11/28, Nagoya: S– Yano/Ishii vs TMDK, M– Ren/Shota vs KiyOiwa
– 11/29, Shizuoka: S– J2G vs Monster Sauce, M– Bishamon vs CMLL
– 12/1, Wakayama: S– UE vs War Dogs, M– Ren/Shota vs Yano/Ishii
– 12/2, Osaka: S– Suzuki/Nagata vs Monster Sauce, M– Bishamon vs YotaZ
– 12/3, Hyogo: S– War Dogs vs HoT, M– Ren/Shota vs TMDK
– 12/4, Kochi: S– Bishamon vs Suzuki/Nagata, M– YotaZ vs Monster Sauce
– 12/6, Karatsu & 12/7, Miyagi: Block finals, order and undercard for the 7th TBD
I have zero reading comprehension and thought a block was the whole thing and was disappointed.
But seeing both blocks I’m Happy, i can’t be mad at a tournament that has Soberano and Kaito my 2 favourite outsiders.
Soberano for super jr agenda starting again now
Kiyomiya, CMLL and Tsuji’s mystery partner seems really cool.
Disappointed there’s no Team Filthy representation, WCWC are a good team.
Certainly deserve it over Fale/Bonza and the lads from ROH. Who imagine will be well protected cos well, it’s Tony and he ain’t sending even a b tier team over to lose.
Interesting lineup, sad not to see Team Filthy
UGHHHHHHHH FUCKIN YUJIRO. GO AWAY. Dude does 6 moves. Not keen on Kaito either but it’ll be a fun event.
Listen, I’m not even close to the biggest Team Filthy fan, but the fact that Tom Lawler and WCWC continue to not get booked in Japan seems like a joke to me. I hope that there’s a good reason for it. No reason for Isaacs and Nelson not to be in this unless they didn’t want to be.

Also two YL debuts on the first tour show https://www.njpw1972.com/163132
Great teams. Let’s go Shota/Ren!
