Hi all, apologies if I format incorrectly or don’t provide enough info. Just curious to any advice for myself on this rough ‘plan’ I have.
I recently came back from a 3 week trip to Japan, was expecting to like it but I wasn’t expecting to want to stay there so badly lol. I live in a semi rural/coastal town in Australia, and have a current apprenticeship which pays extremely well for the amount of work I do, but I just can’t see myself working in the same job past the apprenticeship. I also am interested in experiencing life in another country for a while, as I’m just feeling burnt out living here and need a change.
My current rough ‘plan’, if I decide that quitting my job and moving is truly what I want to do, is to stay in my job for another year and a bit, save enough money to attend language school in Japan and have my own small apartment while I’m there, and aim to achieve N2 level at least so that I can attend university and study computer science. I know there’s a lot of small things and backup plans I need to think of in the meantime while I consider this, but for the meantime, are there any tips/advice you guys might have for me? Thanks in advance 🙂

Although you are ticking the right boxes (getting your degree and learning the language), I would recommend getting your degree in your home country first, rather than try to do that in Japan. Why make things harder on yourself?
