I have a friend who’s currently at a job that is uh perhaps a black company. They’re thinking about quitting but their visa is about to expire and they would need to move to a job hunting visa. I was wondering if ya’ll could point me towards the ministry website that would explain the details of it? Japanese is okay.
Does any know off the top of their head what the requirements for getting that visa would be?

Can they just wait it out and quit after they renew their visa with the black company?
Anyways the tokuteikatsudo visa is the “job hunting visa.” The only requirement is that you have to write a letter to immigration asking for it on top of the application.
