Itinerary check – Osaka/Kyoto/Tokyo from 28th Dec 2023 to 9th Jan 2024

Hi guys, appreciate if you guys can offer some opinion on this itinerary we prepared for our Japan trip next month. First for both of us, did some reading and would appreciate if we could get any advice to improve it or if it’s decent enough. Arrival at KIX and leaving from Haneda. We like food, sightseeing, nature and a little bit of Pokemon. The itinerary is also not fixed (except some instances) and would highly depends on our energy on the day itself. Some suggestion for a good and affordable eel restaurant would be much appreciated too.

  1. Hi!

This is not meant to be rude.

Did you check to make sure Menbaka Fire Ramen is open for dinner on 12/31? I mean it might be, but I would make sure it is, before planning dinner there.

Amanohashidate will be open, but I would make sure anything you want to do or anywhere you want to eat there is open on 1/1

    Good luck!

  2. Your itinerary is very doable and on the lighter side, nothing wrong with that. If that’s what you are going for then I think it’s a great itinerary. You may want to find backup activities in case you have spare time

  3. Nice and chill itinerary.

I would suggest picking up one of the kyoto sightseeing/tourist/bus maps so you can check out what nearby sights you can go to if you have extra energy/time after your scheduled plan.
