Shibuya Crossing, From Shibuya Sky (10AM entry which I didn’t mind)

1. We made a spur of the moment decision to visit Shibuya Sky, changing our original plans. When we booked online, the only slots open were around midday and we managed to snag a 10 AM spot.

   I know sunset is the universally recommended time and for good reason but the mid morning sun offers its own charm. It can casts long, dramatic shadows that can really pop in black and white photography, especially if the weather plays along.
   I have a fondness for black and white imagery. For me, it’s a win/win situation whether I catch the soft glow of sunset or the stark contrasts created by harsh daylight.
