Hello, I am in a bit of a situation so bear with me please.
For some background, I have applied to some companies after a job fair. (Wasn’t my original moving plan but some of them really seem interesting)
For ease of explaining, there are 5 companies. ( from 1 to 5 – C1 I like the most C5 the least) I like them all but some seem way better.
C4 just made me the offer yesterday for a job in Nagano (store and product management + working with clients, so general store business)
Hours are long but there is room for career development. Might be asked to move to another country if we expand.
Help with the key money but nothing else of note.
Deadline to sign is in 2 weeks.
Now, C1(Tokyo) asked for the 2nd interview in 2 days. Better hours, help with housing and transportation, slightly better pay, working mainly in English. (Overseas sales)
Now, here is the thing:
IF C1 also offers me the contract and sponsorship for the visa within a week I will go with them no problem. It will take a week before signing for C4 to make sure everything is OK in the contract anyway.
But what happens if they make the offer after I signed with C4? Can I switch at that point?
I sound really entitled, I know. I wouldn’t have had this problem if it was not for the company that I prefer the most.
The thing is that we are also talking about visa sponsorship here. So when I send the signed documents the process starts.
I don’t know how the Japanese law works in this case. Both would sponsor the humanities visa, but neither job goes well with my major, so there is always the small chance of not obtaining the CoE depending on what I choose. So things are already tight.
Thank you! Besides explanations, advice is also welcome.
Tl;dr: what happens if I sign with 2 companies that would sponsor my visa and I have choose one of them after signing?
Edit: also, would this be something I have to talk about at the interview with C1? Not to rush them but Like to let them know what the situation might be like.

You scrap the process and start anew with the new company.
You cannot have multiple CoE applications in progress. If company A begins the process of applying for your CoE and you decide you’d like to decline their offer and go with company B, then you need to ask company A to withdraw their application.
If the CoE has already been issued you need to have company A return it, or if you have it you can return it.
Company B cannot begin to apply for your CoE until the application/CoE from company A is cancelled. If Company A want to be real dicks about it they can basically ignore your request and wait until the CoE has been issued, and then mail it to you.
I had a similar situation like this a few years ago. Got a job offer from company A, applied and got my CoE and even applied and got the visa if I recall correctly. Then a few days after, I got a way better offer from company B. Long story short, i had to cancel my initial visa and re-applied again for a CoE/visa. Except for bridges burned with company A and my recruiter – which I sincerely am sorry but do not regret – the cxl/re-apply was all pretty straightforward and uneventful.
