I’m looking for information on how one might ship a container from Tokyo to Seattle, Washington. What length of time do you have to pack the containers before it gets shipped? How much does it usually cost now?

Google is going to be more help with average pricing than here, check international shippers like DHL and go talk with their staff. They can tell you about any customs concerns and shipping times
If this is furniture etc, then you’re probably better off seeking a moving company that does international work.
