Planning to buy land in Chuorinkan to build a house – good place or not really?

I’m buying land this weekend in Chuorinkan to build a house (I can still back out of it). Starting to get cold feet. I’ve never actually lived there and have only been there a few times, but I work in Shibuya and want to live near a terminal station. It seems like a convenient place and Yamato-shi is supposed to be great for raising kids (I have a 2 year old).

Anyone here have experience living there? Would you recommend it?

  1. Today I learned Chuorinkan exist, and that it is only some 30 minutes from Shimo-Kitazawa and some 40 minutes from Shinjuku.
    Wow!

  2. I’ve been there once and it seemed pretty quiet for a terminal station, and the Conan there refused to deliver to Naruse despite being just 10 minutes away.

Grandberry Park is just one stop away, which is a very nice mall with lots of green spaces.
