Refrigeration engineer?

Hey everyone, would I have a viable option to move to Japan as a refrigeration engineer? I’m 29, not looking to make the move yet but maybe in the future. I have a lot of experience with diakin and Mitsubishi systems, and VRF systems. Would a degree in refrigeration and stationary engineering be viable to get a job w the appropriate level of Japanese language? Just wondering, thanks for all the responses in advance!

  2. With the appropriate skills and experience, you can make many jobs work in Japan. But be warned that the level of Japanese many of these require is near fluent and will take a substantial amount of time and effort to learn.

That said, some jobs do offer positions for English speakers, but those are much less common. Your best bet would be working for a company in your home country that has offices in Japan and transferring down the line.

  3. From what I know a bunch of final year colledge student in SEA countries got into an intensive japanese course, up to high N3 close N2 in 2 years frame, and then they began working in Japan in the field of HVAC engineer. They hold BA degree in Mechanical engineering with HVAC specification.
