I am currently studying japanese language I also have been accepted to senmon gakko but my visa ends soon . So my question is how likely am is it that my visa will be approved with 90% attendance. Thanks in advance

  1. In my school they told me 80% is the minimum the law requires but in reality anything less that 85% is going to be difficult and from 85% it should be fine and if you want to be sure 90% is better. I have 89% and I am also applying for 1 extension in practice if your school agrees to sponsor your extension that means they think you are going to get it, my school refuse to sponsor students they think they aren’t going to get the extension.

  2. Anything over 80-85% (depending on the school rule) is fine. When you get under, you’ll be asked to write a text explaining the reason why it’s so low and it has to be a valid reason. Missing days for vacation or event or simply because you dont feel like going are not good reasons, but things like been sick (with doctor note!) or hospital time or anything major that is documented will be just fine.

  3. What are you doing these day? 10% of missing attendence is a lot tbh…

Well, you should be fine with VISA application but it doesn’t give a good look to anyone if you genuine have to worry about attendance.

  4. 90% is just fine. Nothing to worry about.
Also, saw someone saying 10% is a lot. For the average language student that’s not unusual. Don’t listen to that BS.
