  1. First, thanks to u/sirgrotius for putting me on to this place. I was in Philly last night for only the night on short notice and wanted an omakase. This place was amazing, great atmosphere, excellent chef and fantastic sushi.

The rice was incredible, the texture, you can feel each grain of rice, it was at perfect body warmth temperature, the flavor was out of this world. It just paired so well.

My favorites were the salmon tomato, it was an incredible flavor bomb. Never had anything like it. The pike mackerel, double toro, king salmon with the foie gras, Futomaki roll.

Great experience 10/10. Cost was 158 usd and byob.

  2. Sakana was my 1st Omakase experience ever, it was fantastic! Makes me want to go back looking at these pictures

  3. Looking really nice!

Can I ask what the difference between this and a fancy deluxe sushi combo is, what makes this an omakase?

  4. I’ll have to check this place out, looks really good! I don’t get down to that area of the city much, but might have to make a trip for this 🙂
