Mt Fuji / Kawaguchiko/ Shizuoka Itinerary Review

Mt Fuji Shizuoka (17-20 Mar)

Hey guys, let me know if I’m indeed stretching myself too much for this. But honestly when I’m on my own, I’m the type who likes to maximise my travelling day 😂. I even researched all the bus and train timing cos I know missing one maybe mean cutting out a segment for the day.

—————

Day 1 Leaving Tokyo – Lake Kawaguchiko (gonna ship my luggage to Shizuoka hotel)

0715 – Board Expressway Bus to Shinjuku for Lake Kawaguchiko

0850 – Alight at Shimoyoshida, Walk up to Chureito Pagoda

0957 – Board train at Shimoyoshida to Kawaguchiko st.

1000 ish – Rent bike at Sora no Sota (1500jpy for 8hrs?) decided against taking the sightseeing bus unless I’m tired.
Leave bulky bag at the rental station?
Rough plan for the day
Lawson Kawaguchiko
Worthwhile to check out Fujisan Deck(?)
Mt Fuji Ropeway
Kawaguchiko Bridge and turn back towards

1200-1300 ish Nagasaki / Oishi Park
Get soba noodles Mizunokaze

1400-1430 – reach Saiko Itashi no Sato
1hr allowance

1530 – 1700 – Bike back to Lake Kawaguchiko, return bike

Day 3
(???) see Obuchi Sasaba from Fuji city / head to Shuzenji Onsen / Toi / Take the Suraga Bay ferry)
Question is is Suraga Ferry better in the morning or in the evening, and weather the view at Obuchi Sasaba is better in the morn or evening..
Also low-key afraid that i might miss something on the way and be stuck overnight in Toi / if the last ferry from Toi at 1740 gets cancelled.

Plan is either this on in reverse order starting with the ferry to Toi first
Shizuoka morning

0840 – reach Fuji City Station

0900 – reach Shin-Fuji Eki Info ctr to rent their bikes 100jpy?
2-2.5 hrs to Fujisan Yumeno Ohashi Bridge / Obuchi Sasaba, if I have time, 今宮の茶畑, Sarutuna Falls and back to Shin Fuji
Grab something to eat,

1149 – latest to leave Fuji Station take Tokaido line to Numazu, Mishima, take train to Shuzenji st, bus to Shuzenji Temple, arrive at 1315

1315 – soak at Onsen, some light lunch

1510- reach bus stop修善寺インター(バス), bus leaves at 1515

1615 – Toi Gold Mine

1740 – Ferry to Shimizuji (dusk / civil twilight hours).

If I Reverse it, I would get to see Suruga Bay in the morn 0745-0900, arrive Fuji city at 1455.
Might not be able to rent the bikes at Shin-Fuji eki, need to return bike at the other bike rental place at 1655

Day 4,
Rough plan to skate / take a bus to the beach in front of Kunōzan Tōshōgū,
0930- take the Nihindaria Ropeway up to the terrace.
Bus back to Shizuoka Station, check out from my hotel.

(??) Not sure if it makes sense to go to Hamamatsu, take the bus to Hamamatsu (45mins) Lake, the flower park and also take the Ropeway there. Will be worth it if the cherry blossoms are early.

I need to arrive at Osaka Namba by Shinkansen to meet my friend there as we will continue our trip tgt at around 1830-1900.
We will only have one full day in Osaka on the next day but I’m fine with that.
