**Day 20: 13.04.2023: Kagoshima & Kumamoto**

We started the day from going to the [Kagoshima](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kagoshima,+Japan/@31.523115,130.3933531,63067m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x353e615200e3c53d:0x9adcfdad5d5c5885!8m2!3d31.5968539!4d130.5571392!16zL20vMDQ5d20?authuser=0&entry=ttu)\- were our only goal was to go to the [Sengan-en](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sengan-en/@31.6094447,130.5743402,4525m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x353e615200e3c53d:0x9adcfdad5d5c5885!2sKagoshima,+Japan!3b1!8m2!3d31.5968539!4d130.5571392!16zL20vMDQ5d20!3m5!1s0x353e5e5eeede7ee1:0x596ea6c552fa083f!8m2!3d31.618172!4d130.5786269!16s%2Fg%2F120t9j92?authuser=0&entry=ttu). We spent there a decent part of the day – also we were lucky enough to see some ging from the Sakurajima. The place was really beautiful. We grab some souvenirs (small sake bottles), and went to the [Kumamoto](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kumamoto,+Japan/@32.6771662,130.6926391,47823m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x353e615200e3c53d:0x9adcfdad5d5c5885!2sKagoshima,+Japan!3b1!8m2!3d31.5968539!4d130.5571392!16zL20vMDQ5d20!3m5!1s0x3540f414acf11b4f:0x1a51ced19bcf5c31!8m2!3d32.8032164!4d130.7079369!16zL20vMGdwNl8w?authuser=0&entry=ttu)where our yet again – only goal was to go to the [Kumamoto Castle](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kumamoto+Castle/@32.7961323,130.680291,10304m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m15!1m8!3m7!1s0x353e615200e3c53d:0x9adcfdad5d5c5885!2sKagoshima,+Japan!3b1!8m2!3d31.5968539!4d130.5571392!16zL20vMDQ5d20!3m5!1s0x3540f40e023aca59:0x5e8b66c876cde430!8m2!3d32.8061859!4d130.7058335!16zL20vMDF4MWc1?authuser=0&entry=ttu). Castle is (was) under restoration, and inside there were a TV with great documentary about the restoration – how every rock was marked to be put back on the exact same please afterwards. Really beautiful castle.

So, we were on Kyushu only for a 3 days. We were till the last moment wondering if this is worth it – or maybe we should add these days somewhere else instead (there was even an idea to ditch Kyushu and Hiroshima and flew to Okinawa at some point).

But at the end I’m very glad we went on Kyushu – especially Nagasaki was wonderful. And thanks to that I know how different parts of Japan looks like – so I can start thinking about future trips to Japan xD

**Day 21: 14.04.2023: Hiroshima**

As any other arrival – we get out from train, went to the hotel, left our language and went outside. We took a trip through the [Shukkeien Garden](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Shukkeien+Garden/@34.3938535,132.4563927,954m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x355a98a95866f001:0xd78420964a5d61e3!8m2!3d34.3993953!4d132.4670928!16s%2Fm%2F026f460?authuser=0&entry=ttu), where there was yet again and elderly man that used to be a teacher but now having nothing to do we is volunteering in the Garden and just enjoying himself talking with foreigners – it was super cool (he thought that my wife was my daughter – we both 30… xD) – but it was super nice, and I think we spent like 30 minutes just talking about Japan and our home country and similarities and differences between them.

After that we went to the [Hiroshima Castle](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hiroshima+Castle/@34.4027235,132.4565452,954m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x355a98a6eaf7e7c3:0xf57be92cb5339632!8m2!3d34.4027191!4d132.4591201!16zL20vMDdrdjNk?authuser=0&entry=ttu) \- which was somehow special from what we seen so far as there was a lot of the samurai armours, swords, and weapons displayed – I really liked it.

Later on we visited [Atomic Bomb Dome](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Atomic+Bomb+Dome/@34.3993997,132.4645179,954m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x355aa20cdb2780a9:0x34e6677ae0c6c096!8m2!3d34.395483!4d132.453592!16zL20vMDFmYnoy?authuser=0&entry=ttu) and [Peace Memorial Park](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Peace+Memorial+Park+-+Hiroshima/@34.3954874,132.4510171,954m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m14!1m7!3m6!1s0x355aa20cdb2780a9:0x34e6677ae0c6c096!2sAtomic+Bomb+Dome!8m2!3d34.395483!4d132.453592!16zL20vMDFmYnoy!3m5!1s0x355aa26d54333083:0xe129ced5b9751665!8m2!3d34.3926867!4d132.4522012!16zL20vMGN0c3o4?authuser=0&entry=ttu) \- Hiroshima and go to eat… ramen at [Gaba Kamiyacho](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Gaba+Kamiyacho/@34.4027235,132.4565452,954m/data=!3m2!1e3!5s0x355aa20ec06a0957:0xc2ac9bc50cb25b54!4m6!3m5!1s0x355aa20ec04ae245:0x8b4351815a1f074b!8m2!3d34.3938491!4d132.4589676!16s%2Fg%2F11bv_dj3nm?authuser=0&entry=ttu) (it was the closest place we were when it started to heavily rain – but not to take me wrong – it was really good!

**Day 22: 15.04.2023: Itsukushima**

Next day we took a train to the [Miyajimaguchi Station](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Miyajimaguchi+Station/@34.3120216,132.3003562,955m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x355ab75ae1044a65:0xe0a7fcf087db103!8m2!3d34.3120172!4d132.3029311!16s%2Fm%2F027qylg?authuser=0&entry=ttu) to later hop into the ferry to Itsukushima. We visited most of the popular sites, like: [Hokokujinja Senjokaku Pavilion](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hokokujinja+Senjokaku+Pavilion/@34.297325,132.3177038,955m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x355ab0b69c3fffff:0x2aa2d45c8fb91ba3!8m2!3d34.2973206!4d132.3202787!16s%2Fg%2F1235qlmr?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [Itsukushima Jinja Otorii](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Itsukushima+Jinja+Otorii+(Grand+Torii+Gate)/@34.297325,132.3177038,955m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x355ab0b5ad9d8571:0xea24e9736cdf923d!8m2!3d34.2973141!4d132.3181286!16s%2Fg%2F1tg6mzvj?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [Itsukushima Jinja](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Itsukushima+Jinja/@34.2966563,132.3164036,955m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x601ae3047ec76d8f:0x357228f7d0b5d590!8m2!3d34.2959896!4d132.3198285!16zL20vMDJycnJm?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [Itsukushima Shrine Treasure Hall](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Itsukushima+Shrine+Treasure+Hall/@34.2935015,132.3172881,478m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x355ab0b69c676865:0xab49e7f12458dbb9!8m2!3d34.2949523!4d132.3186577!16s%2Fg%2F1hm635gt2?authuser=0&entry=ttu) and [Daishoin](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Daishoin/@34.2935015,132.3172881,478m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x355ab0cbbbdfc909:0xba3e1966c707fc3f!8m2!3d34.2920462!4d132.3184934!16s%2Fm%2F026nyhh?authuser=0&entry=ttu)\- where (what we didn’t know) at that day was the spring ceremony with burning the wishes wrote on bamboo sticks, walking on charcoal, shooting from bows etc. – it was truly AMAZING! – especially as it was an surprise for us. We just casually went there, and I saw a poster at the top of the strains that there is going to be some ceremony/festival going on, and when I looked on the date it was – today xD

**Day 23: 16.04.2023: Kanazawa**

That day we took a train (actually 2 trains with change in Osaka) to get to the Kanazawa. We haven’t had much time that day though, but what we were able to is to go to the [内灘海岸](https://www.google.com/maps/place/%E5%86%85%E7%81%98%E6%B5%B7%E5%B2%B8/@36.6506877,136.6193596,3710m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff9cdec585a3625:0xa34f8a2610542b21!8m2!3d36.6442414!4d136.6256032!16s%2Fg%2F11fkds4t17?authuser=0&entry=ttu)(beach). Just before that we went for a… ramen at [Ramen Fuji](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ramen+Fuji/@36.6506877,136.6193596,3710m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff9cd9a6a22bf19:0x1e2d227e95f131a7!8m2!3d36.6338761!4d136.633825!16s%2Fg%2F1tks6575?authuser=0&entry=ttu), and here I need to pause for a little. I don’t exactly understand what happened there. Was I so hungry after the trip from Hiroshima to Kanazawa, the weather was a little chill so hot ramen wat what I needed – I don’t know BUT that ramen was the best I had in Japan. It was very simple and yet so delicious. Really it was something special.

As for the beach – beach as any other – what was interesting there was a lot of people going on the beach by car (which was already surprising) and they were taking photos of the cars having the sea behind. – just interesting 😛

We stayed at the [Daiwa Roynet Hotel Kanazawa Miyabi](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Daiwa+Roynet+Hotel+Kanazawa+Miyabi/@36.5806445,136.644638,928m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m11!3m10!1s0x5ff8332c597f85d7:0x462ea3307382a03f!5m4!1s2024-04-18!2i7!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d36.5806402!4d136.6472129!16s%2Fg%2F11fcthvqjz?authuser=0&entry=ttu).

**Day 24: 17.04.2023: Shirakawa-go**

The next day we took a bus from the Kanazawa to the Shirakawa. We took the earliest bus and went back with the latest one (which was a little mistake as the last 2h we were just wondering without any particular reason – I feel that we should go back earlier). We were wondering around, going to all of the [Houses](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Wada+House/@36.260225,136.9041007,2998m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff871beb3ff1b75:0x23fa20ade73085f7!8m2!3d36.259905!4d136.907635!16s%2Fg%2F121c53d3?authuser=0&entry=ttu)where you can , [Observation Deck](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ogimachi+Castle+Observation+Deck/@36.260225,136.9041007,2998m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m14!1m7!3m6!1s0x5ff871b4e251d4df:0x31a6d925ccea5fcb!2sChubudenryoku+Power+Grid+Ogimachi+Substation!8m2!3d36.254521!4d136.8927179!16s%2Fg%2F11f101sc0n!3m5!1s0x5ff871ba7c3e180f:0x14d44e655c775bc9!8m2!3d36.2630895!4d136.907568!16s%2Fg%2F1hc4sz5gh?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [Shrine](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hachiman+Shrine+Shirakawa/@36.260225,136.9041007,2998m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m14!1m7!3m6!1s0x5ff871b4e251d4df:0x31a6d925ccea5fcb!2sChubudenryoku+Power+Grid+Ogimachi+Substation!8m2!3d36.254521!4d136.8927179!16s%2Fg%2F11f101sc0n!3m5!1s0x5ff871b01587d183:0xeba07e9252f9d492!8m2!3d36.2548075!4d136.9057981!16s%2Fg%2F1v2jcs7k?authuser=0&entry=ttu). We even took a walk to see the dam. For a while we were thinking to go to the dam, but the only road was thorough the tunnel – which wasn’t very convenient, so we stopped at the bridge near Chubudenryoku Power Grid Ogimachi Substation.

The village itself was really cool, but what for me was much nicer was the surrounding – forests and mountains with some snow on top really do the charm there.

When we went back to the Kanzawa we went for a… ramen at [Ramen Taiga](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ramen+Taiga/@36.5788221,136.6497249,928m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff8336a8cc19e0b:0xe8662312897ada7!8m2!3d36.5788178!4d136.6522998!16s%2Fg%2F1hc5wxnn4?authuser=0&entry=ttu) \- it was super good!

**Day 25: 18.04.2023: Takayama**

This day we took a two trains to get to the [Takayama](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Takayama,+Gifu,+Japan/@36.5806445,136.644638,928m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x6002a342a14fc349:0xd4f2fb84f0b8e3dc!8m2!3d36.1461317!4d137.252159!16zL20vMDF3bDEz?authuser=0&entry=ttu). We started with Hida Kokubunji Temple then went for [Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sakurayama+Hachimangu+Shrine/@36.13417,137.1051131,51989m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x6002bad3d5bedf79:0xf220fbcec6b526e8!8m2!3d36.148445!4d137.2608132!16s%2Fg%2F1234ndzj?authuser=0&entry=ttu) \- here I want to apologize the lady that asked me to make here a photo – she has to be now really disappointed with my photographic skills…

We go to the [Sanmachi Suji](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sanmachi+Suji/@36.1396355,137.2550296,934m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x6002badbb4b53173:0x7fcc7788f914b88e!8m2!3d36.1413161!4d137.2596227!16s%2Fg%2F1z449zqqb?authuser=0&entry=ttu) to buy yet more souvenirs [Takayama Jinya](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Takayama+Jinya/@36.1447083,137.2553717,934m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x6002bad95e446f8f:0x98f5f71172f591e1!8m2!3d36.1396312!4d137.2576045!16s%2Fm%2F0c014xq?authuser=0&entry=ttu) (super, super cool). before the Sanmachi we went to eat mochi with peanuts at the café near [Miyagawa Morning Markets](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Miyagawa+Morning+Markets/@36.1447083,137.2553717,934m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x6002bad6cfb0ec13:0x4c262f0cacf9e0d6!8m2!3d36.144704!4d137.2579466!16s%2Fg%2F120wl4t5?authuser=0&entry=ttu) (there is no marked on google maps for that) – it was very delicious.

After going back to Kanzawa we went this time for a ramen at [Yuzuki](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Yuzuki/@36.5772814,136.6483497,928m/data=!3m3!1e3!4b1!5s0x5ff8336a2c722593:0xd73aaa1623aeffa3!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff833bd8e8ca911:0xcbd9cb7a3fc3d377!8m2!3d36.5772771!4d136.6509246!16s%2Fg%2F11fqz6dl_d?authuser=0&entry=ttu)\- I don’t know what to say – there are no bad ramens! – it was really good.

**Day 26: 19.04.2023: Kanazawa**

The last day in Kanazawa we spent actually in Kanazawa. We were quite busy visiting: Utasu Shrine, [Higashi Chaya District](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Higashi+Chaya+District/@36.5724964,136.6644066,928m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff83374a1baf0b1:0xbb8c7a215e6a0d74!8m2!3d36.5724921!4d136.6669815!16s%2Fg%2F1z449xs7l?authuser=0&entry=ttu) (yet more souvenirs),[Seison-kaku](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Seison-kaku/@36.5724964,136.6644066,928m/data=!3m2!1e3!5s0x5ff833869c7c5a1b:0x4450d93b1bd51afe!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff833869f1554b5:0x438cbb8639139968!8m2!3d36.5610461!4d136.6631714!16zL20vMDh3ZjEw?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [Ishikawa Prefectural Museum of Art,](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ishikawa+Prefectural+Museum+of+Art/@36.5601925,136.6585961,929m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff83386e0b3ec0d:0x9becf604cbc656f1!8m2!3d36.5601882!4d136.661171!16s%2Fm%2F0h1bnfw?authuser=0&entry=ttu) Kenroku-en (best we visited in Japan), [Kanazawa Castle Park](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kanazawa+Castle+Park/@36.5648434,136.6461921,928m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff833823df14795:0xa827189e97e61e4a!8m2!3d36.5659458!4d136.6588451!16s%2Fg%2F1tfct25g?authuser=0&entry=ttu) & renovated part of the castle, [Oyama Shrine](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Oyama+Shrine/@36.5601925,136.6585961,929m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x5ff8337917be01c1:0x259e2f5b2bb2f501!8m2!3d36.5660731!4d136.6554249!16zL20vMDF6eG04?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [Naga-machi District](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Naga-machi+District/@36.5648434,136.6461921,928m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m10!1m2!2m1!1sNaga-machi+District!3m6!1s0x5ff833d6260e2787:0x9dfeba31690b9e3b!8m2!3d36.5636291!4d136.6510951!15sChNOYWdhLW1hY2hpIERpc3RyaWN0WhUiE25hZ2EgbWFjaGkgZGlzdHJpY3SSARJ0b3VyaXN0X2F0dHJhY3Rpb26aASNDaFpEU1VoTk1HOW5TMFZKUTBGblNVUmxiVTlZUldGM0VBReABAA!16s%2Fg%2F120n36hh?authuser=0&entry=ttu) \- all on foot.

So, no surprise that the day weas finished with, yes – ramen at Ramen Tatsu 🙂

**Day 27: 20.04.2023: Nagano & Tokyo**

This day was for us to go back to Tokyo, but we decided to stop by [Nagano](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Nagano,+Japan/@36.6484063,137.9497069,59359m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x601d805de6344499:0xf128a974072892c8!8m2!3d36.6485258!4d138.1950371!16zL20vMGdwNXBy?authuser=0&entry=ttu) on our way. We went to the [Zenkō-ji temple](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Zenk%C5%8D-ji+temple/@36.6613614,138.1867725,699m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x601d86e28d762787:0xf4fa99fb61340f2e!8m2!3d36.6615954!4d138.1877132!16zL20vMDV0ODg4?authuser=0&entry=ttu) (amazing!), [Yubuku Shrine](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Yubuku+Shrine/@36.6613614,138.1867725,699m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x601d871dd0ac5197:0xb592a65ed37d4929!8m2!3d36.663158!4d138.18495!16s%2Fg%2F112yfc46h?authuser=0&entry=ttu) and to the [Nagano Prefectural Art Museum](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Nagano+Prefectural+Art+Museum/@36.6631612,138.1830102,699m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x601d86fd1c46f3bf:0x8b39dfaa89895d43!8m2!3d36.661575!4d138.191018!16s%2Fg%2F1hb_dq2yq?authuser=0&entry=ttu)(one of the coolest art museum I’ve been to – and I’m not an ‘art’ guy.

Also, we bought there (finally – as we were looking for some for the whole trip) – flower vase <3.

We went to the Tokyo, and just had time to go for a ramen at [Waizu Kanda Ramen](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Waizu+Kanda+Ramen/@35.6895495,139.7665362,939m/data=!3m2!1e3!5s0x60188c0169515a69:0x6cd01336a41b0890!4m6!3m5!1s0x60188c01695a7b73:0xeafd3737f58172bd!8m2!3d35.6910369!4d139.7693193!16s%2Fg%2F1w2ytws8?authuser=0&entry=ttu).

We stayed at the same hotel as on the first time – [Tosei Hotel Cocone Kanda.](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tosei+Hotel+Cocone/@35.6895495,139.7665362,939m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m11!3m10!1s0x60188c011fdabaf3:0xc4460ef1e2ccea81!5m4!1s2024-04-18!2i7!4m1!1i2!8m2!3d35.6895452!4d139.7691111!16s%2Fg%2F11gb3lwn_m?authuser=0&entry=ttu)

**Day 28: 21.04.2023: Sendai**

The last days were kind of hard for us to decide what we want to do. We decided though to go to the Sendai – to see just a little of the more northern part from Tokyo. We walked a big circle starting from the station and going to [Tsutsujigaoka Tenmangu Shrine](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tsutsujigaoka+Tenmangu+Shrine/@38.260813,140.8906762,908m/data=!3m3!1e3!4b1!5s0x5f8a281de4b32dbf:0xf05ef9afa9e8e280!4m6!3m5!1s0x5f8a281e074ba3a3:0x500c75795e4988bf!8m2!3d38.2608088!4d140.8932511!16s%2Fg%2F1tdy8wtr?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [Tsutsujigaoka Park](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tsutsujigaoka+Park/@38.260813,140.8906762,908m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x5f8987f63823b659:0xf92928c57d253f01!8m2!3d38.2606741!4d140.8970256!16s%2Fg%2F121yydlc?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [Sendai Toshogu Shrine](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sendai+Toshogu+Shrine/@38.2800019,140.8825222,907m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x5f89879d8b0ade03:0x7e8e4410748a975e!8m2!3d38.2799977!4d140.8850971!16s%2Fm%2F0472g58?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [National Treasure Osaki Hachiman Shrine](https://www.google.com/maps/place/National+Treasure+Osaki+Hachiman+Shrine/@38.2725241,140.8424583,908m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x5f8a29c853ee5bdd:0x4e765606fdf81f9b!8m2!3d38.2725199!4d140.8450332!16s%2Fm%2F09v5rg2?authuser=0&entry=ttu)(here we took a train), [Ryuhoji Temple](https://www.google.com/maps/search/Ryuhoji+Temple/@36.8066527,138.8046024,473894m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1?authuser=0&entry=ttu), [Sendai Castle](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sendai+Castle+(Aoba+Castle+Ruins)/@38.2520962,140.8533526,908m/data=!3m2!1e3!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x5f8987638b2cac17:0xa59e332f2ed25ca1!8m2!3d38.252092!4d140.8559275!16s%2Fm%2F02qvg56?authuser=0&entry=ttu) (Aoba Castle Ruins) and finally Zuihōden Temple.

This day was really paced, and we were exhausted from all of the waling we did – good we took a train at one point xD

When we went back to Tokyo, we went for a ramen at [三馬路 東京店](https://www.google.com/maps/place/%E4%B8%89%E9%A6%AC%E8%B7%AF+%E6%9D%B1%E4%BA%AC%E5%BA%97/@35.6914893,139.7686365,272m/data=!3m2!1e3!5s0x60188c01511782eb:0x36e652ec4840b3c!4m6!3m5!1s0x60188db948a08971:0x37b9306e739b52d1!8m2!3d35.691052!4d139.768203!16s%2Fg%2F11rkctgqxy?authuser=0&entry=ttu) which is a VERY small place with really delicious ramen. For the first time I ate cold ramen (I don’t remember the name, but it was super good).

Really cool thing there was that the place is run by one person, and at the front of the shop there is paper that says more or less: “I’m here alone doing everything – cooking and cleaning. Also, there are not a lot of seats inside. It may take a while before you’ll be seated – if you don’t want to wait go somewhere else” – or something in that tone 😛

**Day 29: 22.04.2023: Odawara**

Last full day in Japan. We decided to go to [Odawara](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Odawara,+Kanagawa,+Japan/@35.3828787,139.2115972,62618m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x6019a45893a8d1cf:0xa2f424ebb37f8e55!8m2!3d35.2648307!4d139.1523086!16zL20vMGdwNmI1?authuser=0&entry=ttu). We went for a [castle](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Odawara+Castle/@35.2494045,139.1513416,2205m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x6019a4f9eeaa0651:0x7abfbd1ba781f8c2!8m2!3d35.2509493!4d139.1535136!16zL20vMDNmeThw?authuser=0&entry=ttu)and [museum](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Tokiwa+Kimon+Samurai+Centre/@35.2505182,139.1543303,135m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x6019a4fa29a4a997:0x8bfdd5b4d05a4e4f!8m2!3d35.2505602!4d139.1545956!16s%2Fg%2F11c6dg0y55?authuser=0&entry=ttu)(samurai centre) – they had awesome explanation how which parts of samurai armour were called. After that we went on a [beach](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Miyuki+Beach/@35.2474363,139.1550588,1093m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x6019a4e2f60e7c53:0x2a0c09032573eb92!8m2!3d35.2464445!4d139.1609878!16s%2Fg%2F11bxjcj23d?authuser=0&entry=ttu)and stayed there for around and hour.

We went back to Tokyo, take a late night walk on [Akihabara](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Akihabara,+Taito+City,+Tokyo+110-0006,+Japan/@35.7015155,139.7716711,1444m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x60188ea73ea6f4ff:0x5eb9f1e50fe061e3!8m2!3d35.7022589!4d139.7744733!16s%2Fg%2F11bc6tf5hn?authuser=0&entry=ttu), then we ate… CURRY at [Loup de mer](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Loup+de+mer/@35.6914893,139.7686365,272m/data=!3m3!1e3!4b1!5s0x60188c01642ab297:0xa330c10baa91ccf4!4m6!3m5!1s0x60188c01642be603:0xe9700ff983f6785d!8m2!3d35.691488!4d139.7693813!16s%2Fg%2F11b6jjwhwz?authuser=0&entry=ttu). It was super good! But – Ramen is going to stay a king of food 🙂

**Day 30: 23.04.2023: Tokyo & going back**

Last day. Not that short as we had a flight at 10:00 PM. We were mostly packed – just left some things to change, so we decided to go for a picking in the [Imperial Garden](https://www.google.com/maps/place/The+East+Gardens+of+the+Imperial+Palace/@35.686423,139.7550034,1013m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x60188c13425af13d:0xa31b000a35db03f9!8m2!3d35.6867824!4d139.7571445!16s%2Fm%2F0nbczmq?authuser=0&entry=ttu)! We bought snacks in the nearby 7-Eleven and went straight to the park.

We were just chilling, watching photos, making sort of a retrospective of where we been, what we saw, what we liked – summary of the trip.

After that around 4:00 PM we went back to the hotel, washed ourselves, get changed, double check everything, and went to the Narita Airport saying goodbye to the Japan (at least in 2023).

**Last thoughts**

When we’re being asked about how was Japan, we’re saying without the doubt it was the best experience we had. Also, we find out than the perfect sentence to describe it is – “Japan is exactly how you can is it on Google”. We see that as the best compliment we can give about our trip.

I mean – of course in other countries you’ll also be able to find beautiful places and frames seen in google, but as we travelled quite a lot recently we do believe that in these other places we’ve been we had to make much more effort to catch that perfect pictures similar to what we so on the internet, while in Japan – this is exactly how Japan looks like everywhere. You can catch amazing photos almost all the time! To be fair – we need to keep in mind that we were traveling purposely to those places – but also, we did that on other trips.

When we arrived at Kanda Station late at night on our very first day I was astonished by how all of the neon’s and colour popping are illuminating the surroundings, and later on the same hit me when we were seeing the cherries – this was exactly how I was seeing Japan before our trip and this was exactly what I’ve got when being here.

**Cost breakdown:**

Here I’ll not mention the flight cost as this will vary a lot among everyone. Also, all prices will be in ¥.

First part will be about expenses we know we’ll have to make or already made before trip.

Groceries and food at the end are very similar – the difference is that Groceries were bought at 7-Eleven like shops and Food are ramens, ice-crams and other stuff like this 🙂

The be straight – I’m data freak, I LOVE data – so this is why I have them so accurate 😛

At the end the overall cost (without flights) was closed at ¥ 726.404. There is a great chance that I’ve missed something, but I think these are anyway – pretty accurate 🙂
