Renewal of Highly skilled professional Visa (HSMP)

Hi.

Has anyone recently renewed (extension of stay) their
Highly skilled professional Visa .

I have 1 observation and 2 questions.
Observation:
Earlier there were 2 categories. Now there are lot of sub categories.

Question:
1. Do we have to go the whole 9 yards for calculating points an submitting all the proofs?
2. While applying for PR there is an option of re-using the earlier submitted documents (for HSMP).

my PR result is not out and my current HSMP is about to expire.
