Year End Tax Adjustment Question

I’m 30 years old and have been in Japan since I was an 18 year old university student. I’m currently working my first real stable job and finally have a little bit of breathing room. I’ve never had to do year end tax adjustment because I’ve never had an income that was high enough/ have only serviced in low paying side jobs. Don’t ask for a back story because it’s a long one.

Now, basically I have a full time job where I work 40hrs a week, and I also have a side job where I work 3 hours a day/ 15 hours a week as 業務委託. How would I go about declaring this side job in my year end tax adjustment? Do I have to declare this side job? I know very little about filing taxes, this is my first time having to do such an adult thing as an adult. Childish, yes I know. Any comments or help will help. Thanks.

and, you should file taxes yourself, after your company does it, in February. Your company isn’t responsible for dealing with your extra income.
