  1. I’ve seen this asked before but wondering if anyone tried using Costco Citi credit card (visa) in Tokyo recently. It worked for me at Osaka last year but just wondering if that was a fluke or an exception to Mastercard only restriction if it’s Costco issued credit card.

  2. Uber eats is a genuinely crappy service. The delivery part is very smooth but the amount you are charged is basically a joke. What Japanese alternative food delivery services are available and better than eats?

  3. Since coming back from Osaka to Tokyo I‘ve been missing good nikkuman. I tried all the konbini options but they‘re all bad compared to the 551 horai I had in Osaka.

Anyone know some good alternatives in Tokyo?

  4. Going to be in Aomori city for a day or two next week, any recommendations for things to do while I’m there?

  5. Ok I realize this is a long shot, but 13 years ago I went to a nice restaurant in Kyoto where we were served a bunch of dishes with (I’m pretty sure) red beans prepared in a variety of ways. Is this something that places do, or was it a one off from the restaurant? Here is a photo from the front of the place, but since the sign is about tofu I’m wondering if I’m gaslighting myself: https://ibb.co/0mWM9ZG

  6. I’ve seen this answered before on the subreddit, but want more opinions if possible:

Any recommendations for travel clinics in Tokyo? Need to get vaccinated for hep a, diptheria etc.

    Thanks!

  7. Am I right to think that you can only buy alcohol at self checkout from supermarkets/conbini etc. if

    and
    b.
You have a driver’s licence or photo My Number card?

  8. Is there a good time to transition to a new job? Like say if I am able to say my last day is January 31st and start my new job on February 1st would be that good to go for stuff like 社会保険?
