How to read gas meter..

I’ll start this off with yes I’m dumb, that’s why I’m on reddit asking for help.

This is my first time living somewhere that uses gas. Was trying to cook and my stovetop wouldn’t work. So went out to check the gas meter. Looks low to me?? Not sure if I’m reading it right. Does my gas meter need to be reset? Should I call the gas company? Is my apartment gonna explode?

Not sure what the display on the bottom with the 3 circles mean either.

  1. Check the batteries on the gas range.

If you’re trying to ignite the gas and the gas smell comes out, your gas is working.

    The meter looks alright.

Also check that the tube behind the stove is in the on position (gas is flowing through the tube), adjust the switch if necessary. If changing the batteries and checking the tube don’t work, call the gas company to help you figure it out.

  2. Some light googling would indicate one of the sensors stopped the gas(mark next to be 止め) due to a possibility of leakage. It could also just be due to the large fluctuations in heat outside, so you needn’t panic, you should call the gas company and they’ll tell you what to do(my guess is they send someone to check for leaks, then reset it). They might just tell you to reset it yourself which the label hanging in b the right is instructions for

  3. The picture is just a flow meter used to record how much gas you used in units of cubic meters. It wouldn’t tell you if the gas is low. Only a regulator valve on the tank (if there is one) would tell you if the gas is low.

Edit I am wrong, LP is compressed to a liquid so a regulator valve wouldn’t be used to see how much is left. I guess they just use the flow meters to check how much has gone through and replace it as necessary.
