I’ve not even read through your itinerary too in depth and I can say without a doubt, I 100% cannot advocate for doing Kyoto, Osaka, and Tokyo in 7 days as a first time traveler to Japan. Even if you are travelling from not too far away, I still think it’s a push (but more doable as you can go back more easier). My coworker has just come back from his trip of 10 days in Tokyo (with some day trips) and he said he could’ve done with more time – without even doing a change in city to somewhere as eventful a Osaka or Kyoto..

How far away are you traveling from? Are day 1 and day 7 the first and last full days in Japan, or are you arriving/departing on either of those days? I’m guessing – at a minimum – day 7 won’t be a travel day (though that’s a bit tour to try to put on the day before you leave), but unsure about your day 1.

My 2p is to stay either in Tokyo or in Osaka/Kyoto and do not attempt to do both. If you insist, at least move Mt Fuji to any other day than the day before you are due to fly out. You’ll want that day for packing and getting ready for your travels home.
