The context is: two bank officers are discussing the 支店長’s motive for obstructing the 融資課長’s efforts to recover ５億円 (a loan the bank made that the debtor has defaulted on).
中西: どうしてあんなこと…もし課長が５億取り返せたら支店にとっても悪いことじゃない. 支店長達が邪魔するなんて.
角田: いいか, 支店長は回収は絶対不可能とよんで本部で全ての責任は課長にあると悪く言えば大騒ぎをした. それなのに課長が５億回収して正当性が認められでもしてみろ, あの騒ぎは何だと今度は支店長が責任を問われかねないからな.

What is the してみろ? It doesn’t seem to be the てみる grammar point; I was not sure if it was してみると, and it was spoken together so fast I was not sure if it could be two words, して and みろ.
