    Other prefectures have had updated food sanitation laws for 50 years. Akita prefecture is finally being forced to update theirs.

    Many farmers are upset, saying that this is the last straw, and that because they are also old and weak, they will close down.

    _**Separate sinks for washing hands and processing food**_ – the most basic requirement for food sanitation nearly everywhere in the world. That was enough to make people wanna shut down for good.

  2. Can’t help thinking that washing hands and radish in the same sink may not be the *least* hygienic thing that happens to them.
