Why is diamond called “Kongo” in Japanese?

   Also who the fuck actually uses 金剛石 over ダイヤモンド in real life? 金剛石 doesn’t even summon the 💎 emoji at least on iPhones.

4. The term was coined by living legend 拳王 when he had had enough of the weaker sides of NOAH. To help spread the message of Kongo, he recruited disciples (kotogo atsushi, kitamiya masa and inamura yoshiki). To signify blood diamonds, they wore exclusively red clothing and attacked without mercy, pledging to restore the prestige of NOAH through their indestructible mettle. Through time their faction grew and kongo became a word to mean diamond, of which til that day no records of such tough objects existed in Japan. Sadly, as all bubbles in Japan, Kongo burst in spring 2023, and diamonds became available to all and lost all value. Even the toughest, Nakajima Katsuhiko, was sold for a pittance.
