1. i’m so sick of the worthless monkeys in admin. had to bug them for a month to prep my papers for visa extension. finally got a folder, but when i got time to look, they’d put an extra doc i needed last yr for something unrelated, and left out one but idk if i need it or not?!? all i know is i handed it all over last yr and got renewed. tried searching for a list of docs but mobile site just shits itself plus i don’t have time to do their jobs for them. anyone here know if i absolutely need a 電子申請等証明データシート for the 技術・人文知識・国際業務 visa or not?

3. Anyone else here has a problem with static during winter? Everything I touch just gives me a shock. Any ways I can do to stop getting these static shocks?

4. Parents want to visit for two weeks next February. My room is too small (1K) to fit three people, what are the options for a 2-week stay that doesn’t break the bank? Maybe around Tobu-Tojo line? Tried looking at normal hotels, kinda expensive. Less than 100k would be great. Do I have no other options but airbnbs?

5. I bought a coat for my kid from H&M online. I want to return it at the store as it’s a bit tight but my husband decided to cut the tags off but still kept the tags. I know it wouldn’t be a problem back in my home country but will returning something unused without the tags attached here is ok?

6. With winter vacation fast approaching I’m looking to do a little road tripping. I’m from a country where it doesn’t snow though and have no experience driving in icy/snowy conditions. Any recommendations for places to drive on the main island that avoid the icy roads during winter?

7. Do these youtubers who film 30 minutes to one hour of Yatai or small Ramen stalls and get like 4 million views in a month’s time share any revenue with the featured shop or business owner? I get way too many recommendations like that on YouTube, and made me wonder 🤔

8. When should I apply for a job at a pop-culture customer service job (Jump Shop, Nintendo Store, etc.) for the best chance of getting it?
   Moving to Tokyo from Ishikawa (been living in Japan for about a year now) in Jan/Feb and I’m wondering whether I should apply:

   – now (get the biggest jump on later applicants, but won’t be able to attend an in-person interview until early Jan + wouldn’t be able to start till Feb)

   – Late Dec/Early Jan (would be able to attend interview sooner should I get one but still wouldn’t be able to start for a month)

   – Mid-late Jan/Early Feb (would be able to interview/start almost immediately, but may need to compete with potential uni student applicants, potentially could result in being out of work longer)

   Any advice?
