EJU exam for Japanese universities

Hello! I have one year of high school left before going off to university. I decided to go to Japan in that regard. However, I want to take the classes in Japanese, since I don’t see the point of going all the way to Japan to only meet with other overseas people. I have been researching for hours now, and I’ve found out that most Japanese universities use the EJU examination to determine whether an international student is qualified to enter their institution. Also, from what I understood, the test has multiple sections, one being about Japanese language(made up of an essay and a reading and listening section) as well as various other subjects. The thing I can’t wrap my head around is what to study for the EJU exam. From the posts I read and the videos I’ve seen, people say that you have to work backwards, choose the university you want to go to, then look for their requirements concerning the EJU examination.

That is what I cannot wrap my head around and why I have come to this subreddit in the hopes that someone will save me from this headache-inducing confusion. I want(preferably) to go to the Tokyo University of the Arts, faculty of Fine Arts, Design department. I couldn’t find their requirements anywhere I looked. The only piece of information I’ve found was a short paragraph in the Q&A on their official website saying that international students should take the EJU exam, but no specification was given.

What I want to know is, taking the school I chose into account, the subjects I need to study, as well as the level up to which I need to master them. Essentially, all the skills I need to have in order to get into the university. If possible, some recommendations for textbooks or resources to learn them.

Also, I know I am asking too much at this point, and this is a secondary request, but could someone also provide information as to what comes next(assuming I pass the EJU exam) concerning the university? I’ve heard they do interviews and such even after you passed the examinations.

To summarize, this whole thing is a mess for me, and I don’t want to put it off until later since I don’t know how much there is to learn and I want to start studying as early as possible, so that I can get in at the earliest possible time.

Thank you immensely in advance to the people who have the ability and generosity of answering this.
