So, I’m in the market for a new TV and it seems this years must have model is the Sony OLED A95L. I’ve decided I want it, rather than a deposit on a new house. Apologies to my wife.
I’ve checked BIC / Yodabashi etc but no sign of this years – they are all still suspiciously promoting for previous years flagship.. any other fellow AV nerds have any idea about the release date? I generally try not to go in the physical stores these days due to the hordes of tourists.

It has not been released in Japan yet, I read somewhere saying they would expect it to be released now (autumn), so it should be available soon.
A TV over buying a house?
I was also considering the Sony but they are taking forever. Windows Copilot says it will be released on September 18th, 2023 😒.
I think I may get the LG G3 instead (65″/77″) if it gets discounted on Black Friday. It doesn’t seem to be available directly from Amazon though and, annoyingly, the price has recently gone up. I don’t know if that’s because there’s no competition from Sony (Samsung doesn’t seem to have a presence here with their TVs), the yen dropping recently, or the retailers pushing up prices for Black Friday “discounts” later.
