Kids Vitamins/Probiotics in Japan?

Anyone have some brand recommendations for kids vitamins and/or probiotics that are available easily here? I’d like to get my 3 year old on some vitamins to try to boost his system to prevent the constant colds this winter.

Tons of stuff on Amazon and Rakuten at all sorts of prices. Anyone know if costco carries something good as well?

Thanks.

  1. iHerb is my go-to for all things supplements. Quality stuff, and if you buy there during sales and reach the free shipping threshold, it ends up much cheaper than local items.

  2. I know quite a few parents that make Kieffer at home with a yogurt maker for probiotics. I make my own yogurt and it’s basically an endless cycle. Just mix the left overs into the next milk container, put it in the machine, and wait.

  3. Vitamin supplements are unnecessary, if you feed well your kids they dont need additional vitamins. Vitamin B for instances you get enough by just eating meat, vitamin C from fruits and veggies, vitamin A from carrots, spinach, sweet potatoes… vitamin D from eggs, milk, fish… vitamin k cabagge, some fruits, eggs,

Vitamins are not “stored” in your body so any excess is automatically rejected and pissed (if you take some lipovitan or similars you will start pissid like artificial yellow thats the exces)

Vitamin C has no impact to prevent “colds” especially from virus like influenza or covid.
