1. I get to tell my one Darwin story. I got a new job and the guy I was replacing broke me in. He was from Darwin and at first I had to speak to him in Japanese because his accent was so thick.

   Anyway, he is driving me around and tells me, “the driving is pretty easy here in Japan except for those things.”

   “What things?” I ask him.

   “Those things. They are everywhere and you have to watch out for them.”

   “Those things’ were stop lights! Needless to say, I helped him look out for them after that.
