Does jinmeiyo kanji appear on JLPT test?

For example word: そば(蕎麦) can be written in kanji or hiragana my question is do I need to know this word in kanji or hiragana? because the first kanji from the word soba is jinmeiyo kanji.

  1. all I could find was this thread, which has one guy saying “yes” and others saying “yes but with furigana”

you might have to just browse some practice tests and see for yourself

I’m way, way, way below N1 and know a fair amount of non-常用漢字, just from exposure (like around 150 at least). My guess is by the time you are taking N1, you are gonna know enough of these guys to be ok.
