5. No, Kratom is a “Designated Substance” (illegal drug) under the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act. It was added in March of 2016.

   Please be advised that Japan has a 99.8% conviction rate.

9. In addition to the advice you are getting about the illegality of the stuff in Japan, you will also want to think about the legality of where you are going to. Beyond the drug laws, importing plants is illegal in a lot of places and could get you in trouble at your final destination.

   You are gambling with your future for no good reason. Take the advice you are getting and get rid of the stuff before you fly.

10. Even if you have legitimate medical drugs for your condition they have to come in the pill bottles and a lot of stuff allowed in the US is illegal in Japan and they will confiscate your medicine. Google what drugs are allowed or call the Japan embassy. Heck, you even may get to meet johnny somali the asshole livestreamer that may face up to 3 years in prison. Prison is NOT a walk in the park. Very strict.
