Hello, I’ve recently moved to Tokyo. I’m not entirely sure how waste separation works here. I’m particularly unsure about how to dispose of cardboard juice boxes with plastic lids. I’d appreciate it if someone living in Tokyo could help me out.
Should we throw away the juice box with the plastic on it?

When in doubt, just throw it out. The gomi police will be happy to correct any mistakes you make.
I go the extra mile to cut off the plastic top with scissors, open up the box, wash it and then it goes into the paper trash (although you should double check if your city considers cardboard drink boxes as paper, as not all of them do). Then the plastic cup would go into burnable. But as the others said, throwing it all to burnable is probably fine too.
