Lots of judgment in here but let me tell you all, when you’re drunk on a tropical resort and you find sushi in such an unexpected place.. it’s pretty magical 😂 had sushi in Mexico and Dominican Republic on resorts, was it the best sushi of my life? Obviously not, but did it hit the spot after 5 margaritas? Absolutely
😐
Redditors never been to an all inclusive resort in Mexico and it shows.
Got back from Mexico City last week. Still hurting. The communal salsa was worth it. Have some ceviche instead man.
Yikes
Beautiful tropical waters loaded with an amazing display of fish. I’ve been there, I’ve fished on their shores and yanked some incredible fish out of those waters and ate it the same day.
So taking fish right out of tropical water and wrapping it in rice and somehow people are grossed out. I’m no sushi expert but the reaction doesn’t line up, it’s certainly fresher than your local grocery store and probably not farm raised. (Which for some people who are thinking less parasites in farm raised maybe have an argument) but Mexicans certainly know how to make sushi! AND this is free so don’t expect too exotic of rolls.
Enjoy your vacation!
I went to Xcaret they actually had decent sushi.
Looks a bit better than gas station sushi, it looks a bit like the sushi you would find at a cheap buffet
For the record I eat and enjoy both of those cheap options
I would eat this, looks fun
Ew
i feel physically sick after seeing the pics
Gross.. all inclusive food is suspect at best, sushi? Hell nahh
Lived in Playa Del Carmen for a while. Yeah, the sushi is not top-notch, but it’s not at all difficult to find some which is quite definitely decent – fresh, and not overpriced. My main complaint about it is that they tend to put cream cheese in a huge amount of their rolls. I really dislike cream cheese in sushi.
Sorry doesn’t look appetizing
The sushi at most all inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbeans are horrible. I’d rather eat airport sushi that any of those places, and that’s saying a lot since airport sushi is horrible.
Went to an all exclusive resort last year with unlimited sushi of all different types. Kindest hospitality too

I’m going in two weeks!
No offense but that is a fucking disgrace. This is why I don’t fuck with any sushi in Latin America. Except Peru. Peru gets it.
All inclusive resorts in Mexico are great for a lot of things – sushi is probably not one of them.
