Looking for a new mattress and was at AEON so I checked to see what they had. They had about three. I asked them if they had any other ones and the staff said that they would need to order them as the display units were limited. I asked the staff where all the hard ones were and she took me to this firm sponge mattress and said this is the hardest one they had. I said I was looking for a really hard one, almost like floor-hard and she said that was the hardest one that they had. Then I said I wanted the type with springs in it and then she said that AEON doesn’t sell those in order to be ECO. Not only was I surprised as this is a weird way to assert an Eco push especially when nothing else about your huge national business screams ECO, but the mattress there are absolutely horrible. They’re all varying degrees of sponge. I couldn’t sleep on them. I am a hot sleeper and prefer hard mattresses. I didn’t buy a mattress today. I will continue my search elsewhere.

So artificial foam is more ECO than wood and metal?
Get a FranceBed mattress. They make super hard ones. They are dark brown as opposed to their cream colored mattresses. Love mine. I have chronic back problems and need hard types
Who buys their mattress at Aeon though…
Omg, if they cared about being eco-friendly they could cut down on the obscene amount of plastic wrapping they use! Buy a bag of cookies or chocolates, and inside they’ll all be individually wrapped for some insane reason. But mattress coils? Wtf?
