Hi folks, I’m looking into studying in a language school in Osaka for three months starting in October, arriving late September. In the event that I can’t grab a school-partnered apartment, I’m going to do a short term rent on a tiny one myself. I’m not living in a dormitory, no thanks. In my research I’ve realised most of these small apartments are furnished with just the basics.
I’m autistic and need a comfortable place to call my own, so I will need to buy some things to create that space. However I’m very aware of how little time I’ll be spending over there, and how expensive it would be to send my new belongings back to Ireland.
So my question is, is there a website similar to Facebook marketplace (or adverts.ie here) where you can list furniture etc. kind of casually? Even give it away so that it doesn’t get trashed? Mercari came up in a search but if I’m not mistaken that’s more of a Depop equivalent?
