I’ll be in Tokyo for my birthday in May, right after Golden Week. I don’t drink alcohol and am not a partier. My mom and I would like to celebrate my birthday in a special, cool, unique, or just nice way. I’ll have worked late the night before so no morning suggestions, please 😂
I’m a singer so karaoke is a fun possibility, but I have no friends there so kind of a nonstarter. My mom and I are pretty introverted and also Covid-conscious, so maybe not somewhere crowded indoors. We like traditional, classy, and silly things, not necessarily touristy activities.
But please! Make any suggestions and I’ll appreciate it 🙂 Arigato gozaimasu!

Did anyone ever figure out where the ball massage place was?
There are dinner cruises in various places along the Sumida River. The Tobu Line also runs a special dining train from Ikebukuro, I believe. The dining train has a relatively large space around the tables.
You might also consider a night in a nearby onsen. You can reach the ones in Hakone or near Takao in a couple of hours.
