I have been living here for about 2 years now and I get the idea of stalkers or weird people shouting about and what not. I’ve heard numerous stories about people get harassed and it did happened to me and my friend’s sometimes too. At first I heard about these stuff happened to random people, the after that from my senpai. Until recently one of my friend got guys following her and took her arm and stuff, luckily she pushed the guy and got away. It did humbled me about how easy you’d be the victim of one tho. I live in a small town where police is practically nowhere during the night. The summer break just started so all my friends went back home and I figured it would be difficult to called someone if something to happen. Is there something that you can do to prepare for these things? I know you can’t know when or how it’ll happens but sometimes if it can’t be avoid?
Also the reason I mentioned self defense items is because when my friend’s friends were in Tokyo they got harassed and the dude wouldn’t get away until they saw her pocket knife but i don’t know if you could get in trouble if you are holding one.

the only self defense in Japan is to run and scream for help.
