I know this is the sushi subreddit, but did you try any of the street food while in Vietnam?
Going there next month! Care to share the name of this place?
Looks great
i’ve never been able to travel abroad yet. funny enough my mother just came back from vietnam. can’t help but feel a little tormented by this post!
>The mackerel was by far my favorite.
My prediction is that as Americans continue to evolve in the sushi-space, we are going to like more and more fish outside of the standard “sushi platter” set. Mackerel might be a hard one, especailly variations outside of the more friendly “Saba”, but things like flounder/fluke, sea bream, and sea bass will become more enjoyed
You can get great AYCE sushi here in Texas for the same price with absolutely no communism included.
Edit: Please feel free to downvote if you’re offended that Texas isn’t communist? 🤣
have u been to Saigon this trip? better than Hanoi imo
